I like chunky mashed potatoes, although it takes more work than just throwing some spuds in the mixer, these mashed potatoes are a great side (or main) even after the holidays. ingredients: 2lb potatoes 1/2 cup milk 4 tbs butter in small pieces salt, paprika, chives and pepper, to taste. instructions: 1. boil a lot of water: i use a electric kettle to Quickly heat up water.
2. wash and cut out bad spots then quarter potatoes with some larger chunks for texture.(keep peels on) 3. once the water boils, carefully dump in the potato chunks to avoid splashes. set a timer for 20 minutes. (you can salt the water if you want to but it doesn't really matter) 4. once you can poke into a large potato chunk with a fork, or the timer goes off, your ready to strain. 5. whale the potatoes are still warm, add milk and mash adding butter, salt, paprika, and pepper. 6. garnish with chives and eat!

pizzelles are an Italian pastry kind of like a cookie, but when i was trying out these crunchy cheese wafers i thought it looked like a pizzele so here's the recipe...
Tots are nice, deep fried tots are good, but butter fried tots are great. crispy, buttery, and easy, they're my favorite snack for any time of day.
INGREDIENTS about 40 tots 2 tbs butter salt & pepper STEPS 1. put 1tbs butter in a 10 inch pan and arrange the tots 2.when they're brown & crispy, flip tots and add butter to the dry spots. ( just kinda stir or flip one by one to burn off the calories) 3. when the tots get brown & crispy (or irresistibly yummy looking) on both sides, season and eat! |
